Sarah makes me feel like the long trail of cigarette smoke in a jazz club when she sings lustful low notes, she lifts you out of your seat when she delivers her high notes and she can sell a song like Liza Minnelli - she has it all. Warmth, raw emotion, a soothing kiss and passion... that is Sarah Jebian."

Over my 40 year career, my journey has taken me across the country, from Alaska to New York, and nearly everywhere in between. In New York, I’ve had the pleasure of performing in productions like The Sound of Music at Paper Mill Playhouse, A Night On The Town at Don’t Tell Mama, and the world premiere of Avalon, a play based on the novel The Mists of Avalon by Marion Zimmer Bradley. I’ve also self-produced and starred in my own cabaret acts Goin’ Back at The Duplex and Taking Flight: Songs of Hope at the Planet Connections Theatre Festival. In regional theater, some of my favorite roles include Aldonza in Man of La Mancha, Claire in On the Town, Mae Tuck in Tuck Everlasting, the Narrator in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Diana in Next to Normal, and Mother Abbess in The Sound of Music.
Throughout my career, I’ve been honored with awards like Best Dramatic Actress at the 1993 National Showcase Awards and 1st place at the 2002 San Francisco National Association of Teachers of Singing Annual Festival Competition. My work in Avalon and Taking Flight earned me nominations for Best Supporting Actress and Best Solo Show, respectively. Most recently, I was nominated for Best Actress in a Musical in the 2023 BroadwayWorld San Francisco/Bay Area Awards for my role as Diana in Next to Normal.
As a recording artist, I've been compared to the likes of Sara Bareilles, Ingrid Michaelson, and Ann Wilson of Heart. My debut album, Love Songs & Lullabies, came out in 2012, followed by Not Your Mama’s Hymns with my band, UNFOLDING, in 2019. Recently, I’ve started releasing my own original music, including singles like A Quiet House (2023) and Daddy’s Girl (2024), with more to come!
